- How many days of
data are kept for downloading?
- The Data
collection process automatically collects all
your outstanding data using the normal Daily
Collection method. There is, however, a
limit on the number of days you can collect at
any one time based on your method of collection.
The
Internet connection method has a limit of 3
months data and after this time it would be
necessary to collect your data using the
"specific date" collection feature in Market
Manager. Alternatively, the outstanding
data could be sent on a floppy disc.
- The direct
dial connection method has a limit of 20 trading
days and after this period it would be necessary
to send the outstanding data on a floppy disc.

- Internet - how do I download or
collect the daily data?
- Connect to
your ISP in the usual way. Launch the
ADEST software and click I-Net on the menu bar
and then click Collect Daily Data from
the drop down list. The ADEST software
will find our database and send all outstanding
data to your computer for distribution to your
database. For more details please call 02
9527.4690.

- Drive Partitions - Can
the database be located on a different hard
drive?
- You may
locate the database on a different local
hard drive however we recommend that the ADEST
program and the data be stored on the same
drive. You cannot locate the database on a
network drive.

- Favourites - Can I have a Folder
containing my favourite stocks?
The ADEST
Market Manager software allows you to create
your own folder/s and move your stock data as
required. This feature enables you to keep
groups of stocks relating to your portfolio,
"watch list" or an industry group.
Management of your database is an integral part
of the Market Manager software, leaving you time
to concentrate on your analysis and trading.
For data integrity reasons, you cannot have the
same stock in more than one folder, as Market
Manager will only update a stock once.

- Networks (LAN) - Can the
database be updated over a LAN?
- No, due to
the intensive processing required to update the
database, the ADEST software and data must be
located on local hard drives and preferably the
same local hard drive. The data cannot be
updated across a local area network.

- Email
- Do
you send the daily data by email?
- The daily
data is not sent by e-mail however is collected from
our database via an Internet connection or a
direct modem connection. The ADEST
software has built in functionality to enable
you to collect your data by clicking an icon on
the main toolbar.

- Missed
days -
what happens if I don't collect my data for 2 or
more days?
- That's OK.
The next time you collect data using the normal
Daily Collection facility, all outstanding data
will automatically be collected.
^Top^
- Multitasking - can I use
other programs whilst ADEST is updating my data?
- No - due
to the large number of files that need to be
accessed during the distribution process, do NOT
run other programs whilst ADEST is updating your
database. Please close all programs prior
to collecting and/or distributing your data,
especially your charting software.

- XAO. I can't find
the All Ordinaries in my charting software?
