Truth of the Stock Tape and Wall Street Stock Selector by W D GannTruth of the Stock Tape was originally written in 1923 and was expanded and updated in 1930 with Wall Street Stock Selector. The 1930 volume includes Gann's explanation for the 1929 crash and includes a copy of his 1929 forecast that was sent to his clients in November 1928. Must reading for the serious student. It won't win any prizes for literature but if you will look past the story line, you may find his real reason for writing it. Read the other Gann books first before you tackle this one. Four Dimensional Stock Market Cycles by Bradley CowanThis book contains some of the most unique forms of market analysis since Gann’s original works. The main content of the book is a well developed method of looking at the Dow in terms of Vector Quantities (ie. price & time). The first part of the book explains in straight forward steps how to develop relationships between price and time (vectors) for the Dow for any time frame using basic calculations, that is being able to calculate the speed and direction of the market between two points using basic triangular calculations. This simple calculation makes it possible to project the extent of moves based on price and time vectors. The second part of the book covers well researched historical relationships between the major planetary cycles and the highs and lows of the Dow. Given the extent of speculation that another crash is imminent this information is well timed. The research on planetary cycles is extensive and demonstrates many highs and lows and the planetary cycles that coincided with them. This makes it possible to narrow down the planetary conditions that would coincide with financial panics at any time in the future. Although the book only covers the Dow, as the examples are purely mathematical, they can easily be applied any other market. The ease with which this can be done varies in relation to your familiarity with the assumed knowledge which includes W.D. Gann’s Master course for Stocks, contemporary methods of Cycle analysis, Radii Vectors, Musical Scales, Patterns in nature, Fibonacci Number, Series, Sympathetic resonance and Basic Astronomy and a good head for maths. Gann’s Scientific Methods (Volume 1 & 2) by Patrick MikulaThese two Volumes combine to form an in-depth view of Gann’s style of writing and methods of determining market movements. As with Four Dimensional Stock Market Cycles, this book is only for the serious Gann analyst. The two volume set could easily keep an experienced Gann analyst busy for several years. The material in Volume 1 covers how to interpret Gann’s writing style as well as the proper use of Gann’s number wheels and squares. As yet, there have been no examples that we have seen that explain the use of these methods to this level of detail, most texts show how to simply lay a planet line on a chart using normal xy coordinates. The methods covered here show how to convert the planetary angle on to the number wheels to find support and resistance levels for any planet at any time in the future. The second volume extends on the first going into more detail and adding explanations of planetary averages, time and space, fourth dimensional measurement of time and first trade horoscopes. These methods have never been adequately covered before by any author, including Gann. There is a reasonable level of assumed knowledge in regards to both markets and astronomy. The introductory section covers this somewhat, however, it needs to be understood thoroughly for the rest of the book to make sense. Volume 2 follows on from Volume 1 to include several little known methods that Gann only made known to his students towards the end of his life.
