Thanks Joe,
I've read your book well over 30 times. Hope to have the privilege of meeting you some day.
You are correct. Esoteric mathematics does not equate to profits

Hi Joe
Just a quick note to let you know how impressed I am with your book, your website (client forums), and all the support provided by the experts. Don't want to bore you with all the details of my trading past, however I have been in the business for roughly 10 years, blown up 2 accounts, and the one I am working with now has remained just barely above water for the last 3 years. It is still above water however so something is definitely improving.
I have been paper trading using the material that you taught in your book, and I am sure that you have heard it all before, however I must add my 2 cents. In the past few weeks I have, using my new knowledge, been able to trade with a much improved success rate, and confidence is definitely improving.
Thanks again for, not only taking the time to write the book, but also for all the support provided on your website, and for being accessible.
Cheers

Hello Joe,
I have read your book, done your home study course and attended your recent seminar in Singapore.
I just want to say thank you for making my trading much more profitable. Your whole methodology of using different time frames with DMA's and Stoch/MACD and FibNodes and using logical profit objectives has made knowing what to do so much clearer in many situations. I hope to be able to do a private seminar some day.
Thank you,
BW

Joe,
…I always wanted to thank you for writing the books and courses. I would not let the book you signed for me go …I probably will not get to meet you until I can take the private course you offer... My roommate who trades commodities contracts is amazed at how I can tell what is happening to the charts.
Kindest regards,

I've read your book 3 times now and still learning from it, I know a little on technical analysis so I'm not a newbie to the subject but I'm learning and understanding more and more with every read.
As you know you can read about systems and strategies left right and centre on the Internet and in books, but the truth is the bulk of them are nonsense, well maybe not nonsense but close to it.
I like your ideas, I like the way you describe your ideas and the way you put your ideas across in your book, a system has to make sense to me, it has to be logical, your ideas make perfect sense to me and there's logic in it from page 1 through to page 300.
Congratulations on an excellent book!
Once again thank you for your advice and help.
Kind regards

Hi,
After having read your book (which was excellent by the way) I am considering buying the Coast Trading Package. I particularly interested in the Oscillator Predictor and its use as a filter to keep out of bad trade entries and to take profit.

…I have almost completed the book and found it to be an excellent resource. I will immediately reread it again for obvious reasons. I will probably need to reread it many times over the course of my trading career.
Thanks, Mr. DiNapoli, for an invaluable resource.

Dear Joe,
I totally enjoyed your seminar last Sunday in Singapore. It made the Fib numbers more comprehensible. Your 1st "secret" about trading the Stops gave me a totally different view of the market movement and reversals. Amazing. I am still going through your notes and starting on the "Trading Bible - TWDL".
I am interested in attending your seminar in Bangkok.
Thank you and Cheers.

Hello Joe,
I thank you very much for your email reply.
Please register me for the P seminar in Bangkok for this April
I have just finished joining the free online seminar run by Genesis. If I may share my present feeling,I feel very blessed to have the opportunity to live on earth now while you are also here.
The seminar only showed us how to trade using D level. I can imagine what kind of valuable trading knowledge you will impart to us in the seminar when you show us how to use the indicators ,money management ,tactics, set up and others.
Please accept my greatest gratitude for going through all the troubles to make all this possible for us.
Sincerely yours in learning,
B

Joe Greetings
Believe it or not, I am following the learning curve portion of the website &..done the book (multiple times), did the DVD and would like to get my hands on the trading course. I've been actively trading the FOREX Spot Market for 1.5 years and have found your methodology particularly adept to that market. When it gets moving, being a Minesweeper kind of guy helps && For some background _ I was introduced to the Technical Analysis field approximately two years ago and have been glued to charts and books ever since. I spent my first 11 years of adult life flying F-14s for the US Navy and the last 2.5 years working in a start up doing software for embedded training and simulation on a PC. It's been fun, but the charts are what passion me and to be quite honest _ I'm trying to build my utopia of staying home with the family and paying the bills. No illusion of grandeur here _ just being smart, disciplined and patient (trying to be Diligent Dan). I want to make money.
Thanks for letting me take your time & I believe a trip to Thailand is in my future&..pulled into Pataya Beach on the USS Nimitz back in 97_. Not sure they will let me back in the country after that port visit&&.!
Be well. Thanks for taking the time to write your book&..

Subject: Re: Long Term Reports with Audio Commentary
Hello Kevin <trading@foxfutures.com>
Just wanted to quickly tell you that your new style of Long Term Reports with Audio Commentary is just fantastic. Clear, crisp and so easy to understand! I even sat my wife down (who complains that I talk more about
Joe DiNapoli than about her) in front of the computer to show her these reports and all of a sudden its "I can understand this, lets buy Coffee" says the wife!
Please keep up the great work.
Kind regards

Having read your book 4 times now (the elevator goes most the way to the top - but more like a freight elevator, heheh) and recently receiving the Coast software, all I can say is that I sit here slack-jawed as I watch the mkts turn on the numbers I have jotted in front of me. Your comment in the book about starting with a series of wins is spot on - a false sense of security could easily prevail. Luckily (?) I've experienced enough losses in the past to appreciate the seriousness of the game, and to internalize the importance of not making mistakes. Who knows if I'll still be here 6 months down the road, but I can't deny that at least I was given a helluva chance w/ your methodology. Your willingness to share has been truly appreciated in this corner.
Thanks, Joe.
Health and happiness...

Kevin,
This is tremendous stuff. I am learning from the masters. Your Gold and US$ index charts in particular are great for information and as learning tools, especially with the audio commentary.
I know what to look for in these markets, and as a consequence, in the Australian dollar as well.
Thank you.

Hello Danielle and Kevin
I just wanted to thank you for allowing me the opportunity to attend another of your Joe DiNapoli on-line seminars. Each time I learn a little more and slowly the picture is becoming complete, you are a great teacher Kevin.
Danielle, thank you very much for helping me get on line with my computer problems. I really appreciated (and was amazed) that you would telephone me from the other side of the world when I am not even one of your clients. I hope to have more free time later this year to seriously look at trading the markets and there will only be one brokerage that I will be calling....looking forward in doing business with you soon.
Thanks again.
Kind regards

Joe,
Here are the few thoughts on my experience ….
Bangkok is a curious place. It is an amazing blend of opulent old-world temples, modern skyscrapers, and massive poverty that is hardly rational to a western mind. However the amalgamation of these seemingly disjointed elements makes Bangkok a richly rewarding experience for any traveler.
2 Day Private Seminar
The seminar was an extremely rewarding experience. The small group and intimate setting really helped to focus my mind solely on the topic at hand. Your style of teaching with compulsory participation for all members was excellent. It served a dual purpose. Knowing that you could be in the 'hot seat' at any time does wonders for your concentration, and having to explain a concept to another requires a solid understanding of the topic. I also found your knowledge of the inner workings of the markets of particular value in bringing clarity to what seemed before as a distant haze beyond my brokerage account. I now feel that I am a much savior investor.
I look forward to coming back for the Advanced Seminar.
Regards,
TD

Dear Kevin,
I would like to thank you for your time and all of your efforts, you presented a great seminar. I bought the software and the book, but found it to be a bit confusing, but with your explanations it clarified some of the material from the book. I could never trade again without using my FibNodes, … Thank you again......I am looking forward to being your client.
Sincerely,

Hi Joe,
I have read your superb book, Trading with DiNapoli Levels, several times and have studied the material in great detail. I am currently going through your Trading Course Tapes and am eager to learn more of the finer points of your trading methodology.
Although I am a practicing retinal surgeon, trading has become a passion for me. I am predominantly a technical trader and have been quite successful over the past several years. During the past 4 months, my interest has turned to the Forex market and futures. I initially came across your name on indicators shown in the Global Forex Trading software platform and subsequently researched your work and recently purchased your book. I have not come across anything that presents a trading approach with as much precision, detail and brilliant thinking as your book. After I have mastered your ideas, I hope to check my understanding by backtesting (if possible) in TradeStation and/or paper trading. At that point, I will implement your approach in live trading.
Joe, your clever and insightful analyses of the markets are awesome and it would be a privilege to be able to attend your seminar, to learn as much as possible directly from you and to be able to pick your brain and share ideas with you and the seminar participants. Could you please include me on the list for attending your Private Seminar …
Best regards,
MW

10 February 2004
Joe as for the seminar
Since ….your private seminar I have traded on a demo account for one week making the OP on all my trades. I have started this week with my life account and made two trades in the first 24 hours of trading, making huge profit.
You trained me to trust my trade and stick with it. To read your book is one thing but the only way to make sure you understand it and can apply it, is to attend your private seminar. Without this I could not have done it.
As you now I'm trading Forex and up to now I have only traded the EUR/USD, wait until I start trading more currency.
Once again Thank You for everything I am looking forward to attending your advanced seminar. (second half of the year)

Joe,
Your private seminar was excellent. I believe I have ordered most of your products following your recommended learning path: TWDL, DiNapoli Levels Video Training Course, The Trading Course and the CTP graphics software with access to you client pages. I must say that the information you have provided has been the best I have seen and you go through great detail with your actual trade plan. I found the private seminar extremely helpful because you have a wealth of information and the private seminar really helped me to tie together the information I had already learned more concisely. I am looking forward to attending your advanced seminar once I spent some time practicing the lessons I learned from your private seminar.
Bangkok is a wonderful place to visit. This was my third visit to Thailand and I am now looking forward to my fourth. What I really like about Thailand is that the people are extremely friendly and courteous and Thailand is a very beautiful country with extremely beautiful women. Everyone in the seminar would not hesitate in extending their stay if they could because the found plenty of interesting things to do. So my advise to anyone attending the Thailand seminar, plan for an extended stay!

Dear Mr. Kevin,
My name is Dragos, from Romania.
On the first hand, I thank you for the time you invested in this seminar. It was the first live course which I attended, so I do not have a term of comparison, but what I can say is that I understand more about how Fibonacci works on different time frames and how they interact, a good course !

Thanks J,
I finished the first sweep of your book over the weekend, and am going back over it. I like the perspective of FibNode and will work on that more. I like your combination of 'tools' for decision making input, very much. They have a degree of flexibility that caters for market peculiarities that may not have a historical benchmark. I find that an attractive as other technical based systems are confused by situations that have no historical benchmark. There is also some rational understanding.
Congratulations on the book once again.

Hi Joe,
Thank you for taking the time to respond. I have already ordered the Trading course. As soon as I finish with it I shall subscribe to eSignal , CIS and FibNodes to do it right. I currently use Advanced Get with TCNet, and have tried several others. Your program is definitely far superior. I feel I have only scratched the surface and in the last month was up by $ 10,000 in my IRA trading account - thanks to your book and the DVD. My main forte has been Options trading, but with your system stock trading has become as effortless as doing a Cataract surgery.
I am a relatively new trader. Knew nothing about the market before March 2001. Decided I could lose my money just as well as the jerks I had been hiring to manage my portfolio previously and maybe learn something in the process. Really enjoying it. Obsessed about it just as I am with Ophthalmology practice on a full time basis.
I would appreciate any help I can get and am thirsty for more knowledge. Shall follow your seminar schedule with interest the next time you are in the States.

Hello again Pat,
I feel I understand the concepts in this book after multiple readings, but each time I reread I see another subtle point. This magnificent book is one of the best trading books I have ever read and I will be emailing Joe about attending his Florida seminar scheduled for May or June 2004.
Thank you very much and have a Happy New Year,

Joe!!!
Course:
"Having read TWDL a few times and started applying the techniques the initial P-sem was excellent all round. It is clear that Joe has done enough of these to have a very good agenda for the two days including thorough checking of the fundamental understanding and some practice from the book rather than diving too quickly into actual trade discussion. I enjoyed this course more than any I have been on (largely due to the small group size and attendees being at a similar experience level). I would add that discussions not directly related to TWDL (eg about stress points, shorter exposure of capital at risk, reason for trading, why money may not be the test of a successful trader etc) which Joe is happy to talk about when the main agenda is covered were for me a key part of the value of the course - I would like to thank him again for sharing his knowledge of many years successfully trading - both with DN levels and generally. Having progressed in successfully applying DiNapoli levels to most of my trades since the course with my best trading month to date I can recommend the P-sem wholeheartedly - even if it means an international flight!"
But also Joe - a very big direct THANK YOU for a fantastic course - seriously! I felt challenged mentally - something I haven't had for a while! (although I do take your point re watching why I am trading - as in perhaps needing intellectual stimulation!)
Bangkok visit
Well having wanted to visit for 15 years and now by virtue of the course going there, I had a great time!! All too short on this occasion , but the amazing city that Bangkok is - hustle, bustle, 3rd and 1st world contrasts, friendly people and great food. Thanks to Joe for his useful tips on the website too. Am awaiting a couriered suit from Jesse! Another big thank you for the night out !!
Hope to e-mail/speak/meet again soon!
If you are in London - even if just to change planes - please contact me and we can meet up.

Joe,
I wanted to tell you what a great time I had attending your private seminar. I have been a lot of places in the world and nothing was more rewarding than the time I spent in Thailand. I was able to attend a great seminar with my mentor who is the smartest man I know in the trading business and with only four other people, what a great learning environment.
Little did I know that was just the start, Joe and Pat then became the ultimate tour guides to Bangkok, both of them extremely knowledgeable of what I think is the kindest culture in the world the Buddhist culture.
We went to the most fantastic restaurants ...and the best local eateries; you could never find these places on your own.
We also were introduced to the man that make President Bush his suit and shirts and he made me the same custom suit for $250 US custom shirts $20 US that was awesome.
Then came the night life WOW I saw and experienced things I never dreamed of. I'm so glad I was able to see the beauty that a third world country has to offer. I'm also glad I took Joe's advice and came to Bangkok. It turned out to be the dream trip of a lifetime.
The one thing that stands out the most is that "I" took that leap of faith and trusted what my mentor Joe told me and it turned out better than I thought just like trading Joe's system it's the best and he's the best. I know have a trading system that I understand better since the seminar and even more than that I have a friendship for life that I never dreamed possible. I am Blessed.
Thanks Joe

Hello Joe
Have been watching the Euro 50 futures today - It bounces off D-Levels nearly all the time - right down
to 5 & 3 minute charts. It hits expansions to the tick and its just freaky!
One thing I have noticed looking back over the price action on the futures yes I actually LISTENED to the tapes :-) Many times in fac
From my observations to date I have a theory that I want you to answer honestly: Did you stop trading the Euro 50 because you found it too easy to win? I mean this seriously as it occurred to me that you personally
could wipe the floor (that's a pun if ever there was!!) with this contract and churn out money all week. But, there would be no challenge for you. I couldn't help thinking you are in the e-mini for more than just making
money - I wonder if its to show you can win in spite of the "unseen forces" at work.
Now I could be so wrong with that conclusion but the evidence points to the fact that Joe could clean up with very little effort on Eurex so cannot be in this just for the money anymore!
Thanks for caring Joe! Sounds so damn kitch but true.

Joe,
Allison and I are still sorting photos from our memorable trip to Thailand. The Thai's as a whole are such a friendly and beautiful people. A couple of waitresses at our hotel taught us as much of the language as we could keep up with which completely changed the reception that people gave us - we got many more smiles! We took several pictures showing the contrasts and as you said contradictions in Thailand; the very old culture preserved along side the very new booming prosperity, gentle people with fairly brutal martial arts competitions; the children dressed in clean uniforms walking home from school through the busy streets. The more you smile, the more smiles you get.
Since Allison was free to explore while we all traded, with help from Pat she was able to find a lot of the cool spots to take me after the seminar was over. Feeding the baby elephant and our elephant ride in the former capital of Siam was one of our highlights. Seeing the extent of the devastation of floods during the wet season, river taxis racing up and down the rivers, the spectacular temples and palaces, the never ending open markets, the house of Jim Thompson, the reviver of trade for the beautiful Thai silk ... all too much for one week. If we are fortunate enough to come again, we'll venture to the northern country and its riches.
As far as the trading seminar, I learned more than I expected, and only some of it was technical. Watching your discipline, patience, and organization; hearing the discussions that go on in your head about where stops are located and what will bring in buying and selling; hearing you evaluate various scenarios for a trade moving in your direction or moving against you; cross-market analysis to aid you in your decisions; your integrated view of several time periods; trading tight vs. trading loose, etc., etc., etc.. After the trading sessions we'd discuss what we learned and observed, and I spent time capturing as much as I could in my notebook. Weeks later I'm still writing and investigating the things that we experienced there. I also struck up some great friendships there. I'd recommend the seminar to anyone serious about trading - from those wishing to profitably direct their assets in an IRA account, to those presently in or pursuing a career in the trading profession, and anyone in between. Fantastic content especially if you exercise your powers of observation.
Thanks again Joe, we hope to get the chance to visit you and Pat again sometime soon in Thailand,
Peter and Allison W.

Joe,
I just wanted to write and tell you how much I enjoyed the advanced seminar as well as the hospitality you and Pat showed to all of us. The seminar itself was great and I can already see the impact it is going to have on my trading even though I've only been back at trading for a week now. I expect to be repeating it after I have had plenty of time to absorb and explore what I learned there (next year). Seeing the way you handle the entire problem of trading was very useful for me, reinforcing the things I do right and pointing out some issues that need more work. I keep telling my wife (when she questions the charges to Coast) that I haven't yet regretted a single dime I've paid you. That remains true! I'm really glad to have found the right teacher so early on in my trading career.
And Bangkok! What a city! You know the guide book I had been reading said that some people found Bangkok sensorially overwhelming; I figured, no problem, I've been to the biggest city in the world (Mexico City). But Bangkok got me. I don't know what exactly it was. Maybe it was all of the incredible street activity, the sights, sounds and smells. Maybe it was the contrast of such an intense city populated by such warm, open people. .. Thailand really deserves its name as the "Land of Smiles."
I received my two new suits from Jessie the tailor last week. I usually buy nice clothes, but I have never owned such nice clothes as these suits. The workmanship and detail are excellent, the fabric is gourgeous and the fit perfect. And so inexpensive.
I really miss your masseuse (I won't even attempt to spell her name). Please tell her I think she really helped the problem I have been having with my hip. If I could have convinced her, I would have brought her home with me. I know she was small enough to fit into my large suitcase. I might have had trouble explaining her to my wife, but I could have given it a good try.
So, thanks again, Joe. I'm looking forward to next time.
JJ

Hello Joe
I am pleased that I have this book which I think is great. It basically clears your vision when looking at the market and I am glad that you know that your efforts are very much appreciated and I am not exaggerating . …I know you like to travel, so I hope some day you and Pat will come to Egypt. It's very charming (most of it). You and Pat would love the scenic Nile cruse around Luxor and Aswan It's great hope the state department will let up soon. Well thank you Joe and I really wish you and Pat all the best.

Re: Follow up to the FREE Trial through Fox Investments
Hello Danielle
I enjoy very much your nightly email recommendations as I am able to see two very experience traders employ DiNapoli techniques in real markets with real money on the line…. My learning curve since reading your nightly emails has improved my trading 100 fold and I thank you for this. I am uncertain if your nightly emails are supposed to be subscription based and I have been offered a free trial, in which case I thank you and should stop before I wear out my welcome. If the emails are instead sent out to your clients then maybe you could keep me on your mailing list for a while longer....if this is not possible then I have done well this far. Should I ever need a futures broker you certainly would be the only one that I would call.
Kind regards

30 November 2003
G`Day Joe,
I am writing to thank you for the most amazing and best seminar I have ever attended. Your Advanced Private Seminar is the best seminar available to traders of all levels. Not to mention the exotic location for the seminar.
Firstly the seminar. As you know my experience in the market place is one of a floor local learning a completely new game of screen trader. The transition has come with great difficulty as my floor conditionings are deep, however your trading mythology has helped me enormously. I have purchased all of your material which is available and attended several of your seminars. After 5 years of trading from screens I still needed some areas of my trading plan defined. Attending your Advanced Seminar and watching you plan your strategies and actually trading them has cleared up every grey area I have had with my trading. My confidence is extremely high (and focused) after this seminar and my success rate is also very high. Your incredible trading discipline has taught me how to succeed. This seminar without a doubt has given me the final key to the treasure chest, thankyou.
And as for the seminar location what can I say, your private trading room in your condo has the most awesome view over Bangkok I have ever seen. Bangkok as bustling as it is has an amazing aura about it. Your knowledge of the Thai culture and of Bangkok itself provided the perfect Thai experience.
Thank you for providing a tour of Bangkok including all your contacts for bargain shopping and the best tailor made suits in Thailand. The Thai restaurants you took us to are world class, I have tried to find some similar here in Oz but just can't get it.
This seminar was almost classed as a tour with an intensive seminar as part of the itinerary. I will most definitely be coming back to Thailand for another Advanced Seminar as the trading knowledge is invaluable, but more importantly your hospitality and tours of Bangkok are number one.
Take Care & Keep Safe

This was an exemplary presentation. I especially appreciated the examples and your distilled wisdom. I've read Joe's text numerous times ( 20 ? )
Your actual trades and charts clarify, amplify and cement Joe's material.. I'm glad that you covered advanced concepts
A seminar consisting solely of trading examples would be of profound benefit I'll be looking at a lot of charts next week with a fresh vision.

Hello Pat!
I've gone through the book...the initial discussion on trend, direction, etc. were worth 10X the price of the book to me!!! The fib stuff is compelling and I would love to read more. So...I guess I'm very ready for the password!

The on-line class was informative, I have heard or read about bits and pieces of the Fibonacci numbers but never really anything that put them together like that.

RE: Free Online Seminar teaching Strategy and money management
Hello Danielle,
Thanks for the seminar last night and the opportunity to comment, As a novice trader, especially in regards to Fibonacci analysis, I have been a long time believer in regression(s) usually approx. 50% after run ups/downs, but the fib systems explanation was is so much more precise and takes the regressions dependability beyond just coincidences. It should be useful to me as I prepare to resume more active trading activities.
Thanks again,

Joe,
First, I want to thank you & Pat for opening your lovely home to us the way that you did. You two are gracious hosts. I loved Sarasota, and it will not be my last time there.
Second, I want to compliment you on your teaching methods. You are a true professional. I was impressed by two things: One, your attention to each individual's needs. Second, the needs of the group as a whole. I could tell that your initial session where you asked each person about their trading history as well as desired trading direction geared the way you approached the rest of the seminar.
…Today was the best trading day I have had in years. It was a $5000 day for me. It reminded me of the bull days of 1999-2000. Back then I had a few $10,000-$20,000 days, but I am in NO WAY complaining about $5000. I am absolutely elated just getting my old edge back. This whole month has really been good. I have really lucked out and only had about 2 losers the whole month.

Hi Joe,
Many thanks for the reply - I was not expecting a response from the man himself !! I thought you would be far too busy to reply to a minnow in South Africa !
I agree with your views on programmers, but I have to rely on them via Dealbook to get a decent graphics package without undue cost. As a novice trader (two years and still learning to crawl, never mind walk or run) my equity is limited. I will look into Genesis.
I really enjoyed your book, and the humor always enhances the message! Your overall philosophy "loss of opportunity is preferable to loss of capital" is there in BIG print on my notice board. Maybe I'll even make some real profit one of these days!
Thanks again.

I just finished completing your book, Trading with DiNapoli Levels and I must say that it is one of the best books I have read on trading. Basically, I am one of those neophyte investors looking to become a trader. I realized after reading your website that it could take me up to 5 years to become a competent trader! I am committed to that time frame and I believe that your system will definitely get me on the right path to becoming a successful trader

I wanted to tell you that I am finding your techniques valid and highly accurate. Having had a passion for trading (actually research) for the last 8 years I have seen and studied every book, technique and system available at considerable time and expense. As you know, some of them are straight out useless and almost all are in the "ho hum" class. Some are downright dangerous. I can say quite honestly that having studied your book and done your tapes course this is the first time for literally years that I have not been disappointed. Thank you for bringing some real insights to my trading. I look forward to learning more from you in the future.

I have been using your Fibnodes software on Tradestation since the last 90's....in fact using the same computer also. Your book is fantastic too.
I need to pass something by you.
I had a friend to come to your seminar this past weekend at your home is Sarasota....his name is Joe R..
He just called me and talked about you for nearly 2 hours....what a
big impression you made on him.
He was shocked to find out that I also had your software and was a student of your methodology.....and then I had to field a few questions.

Hi Joe
I liked the format of the course and even though I was kinda under the weather I got a lot of ideas for things that I need to study to improve my skills. I plan to trade the qqq's etc in 10 share lots as you suggested until I am able to have more experience without the stress of having a lot of size on the line to distract me.
Thanks for your ideas and help. I would like to do it again next year Again, I enjoyed my time at the seminar and appreciate your efforts to help me !

Really enjoyed and learned from the seminar. Its a lot harder when you put it into practice rather than looking at simplified charts in the book; then one finds out how fuzzy one is on certain points.
Talked to Genesis this morning and got the Coast Trading Package, Thrust Scanner and D-Levels; it should arrive tomorrow via FedEx. I know I'll have a lot more questions once I start working with the concepts and tools.
Thanks so much. What you presented will really me help with deciding which trades to take, when to enter, what to expect and safer stop placement.
Thanks again for lending your hard won knowledge and wisdom.

One thing I want to say to you personally. You've helped by giving me a chance to "get it" and sometimes I really do. The Market is much less a mystery to me at this point but a challenge (and when my thinking is wrong, an obstacle). Without your help I'd be clueless with no chance of profiting. You deserve a heart felt thank you and the next time I see you I'll deliver it. For now, please accept the written version with a full dose of gratitude heaped on top.

Hi, Joe.
I wanted to follow up via this email to a brief conversation we had just prior to the start of the 1-day seminar you conducted recently in Chicago. First, I enjoyed the material presented and accompanying
discussion - it certainly helped solidify the subject matter presented in the DiNapoli Levels book. I also took your advice and purchased the Trading Course, and so far have listened to about half the tapes. More good information! I'm looking forward to attending one of your private seminars in the future after I have the
opportunity to put your concepts into practice.
Thanks again!

Joe,
I enjoyed meeting you at the Chicago show. I was glad to see you know what is really going on in the world. I can't believe how many people have bought the lie that other countries hate us and want to attack us because they are jealous of us. I knew I would enjoy talking to you and not just about trading.
After spending three days there at the show, walking around, looking at all the booths and talking to scores of people, I came to the following conclusion. Most of the trading schools that had been offered were pretty much a waste of time and money. As I networked and met other individuals who had been trading for years, your name was one of the few that kept popping up. One guy I had talked to had spent tens of thousands of dollars on trading and trading schools. I was surprised when he told me this,_ Don't waste your money on any of the trading schools you see here, all you have to do is buy one book from Joe and keep your money for trading capital, Joe's the real thing.
So I bought the book and I have started reading it and love it.
Thanks much,
John D

Dear Mr. Joe
It is with great pleasure and a heart full of gratitude towards yourself, and the wonderful tool called "DiNapoli Indicator" that I write this letter today and expressing my deepest emotions for the dramatic successful change you have made to my life and especially to my trading methodology in the last few days since I started using this indicator.
Using and testing almost every indicator on Dealbook, and there are quite a number that can possibly give you good return, I find both the DiNapoli 7x5 and 25x5 gives me a pure and perfect entry point every time with good results AND PROFIT.
With trading results like this, it becomes an opportunity to trade.

Joe,
Virtually all of my trading knowledge, up until your private seminar, was self taught from books, tapes, and the hard knocks of real life trading. I have been trading your method for about a year and a half with slowly improving results as I learned from making lots of mistakes and having a few successes too. I was at the point where I felt I was ready for the next level, a private seminar.
The seminar more than met my expectations. You are a natural teacher Joe, it was obvious to me that you sincerely wanted to help each of us and were able to do so individually. I was impressed with your ability to take each trader and honestly share with him what you felt were important strengths and weaknesses.
As a group the leaning was directed yet flexible, spontaneous and fun. Your professional insights and subtle changes in strategy and plan were priceless to me, I would not have been aware of these important concepts without this seminar. I thoroughly enjoyed your hospitality and willingness to share with us, my goal now is to make it to Bangkok.
Thanks again,
Bob R.

19 July 2003
Hi Joe,
Finally back home having left Sarasota 5.00am Monday and arrived here 11.30am Wednesday (Aussie time). The course for me was absolutely brilliant. The key comments that I would make are:
* gave me a clear understanding of sliding time frames for entry/exit (fading stochastics, selling on 5 min macd etc are now very clear).
* came away with a clear perspective on how I trade and how I could improve my trading by sticking to ALL of the rules (trading plan. 3 period rule, discipline etc).
* Now fully understand the importance of the trading plan, its simplicity, and the need to use it ALL OF THE TIME.
* Now seeing DRPO's, railway tracks, wash and rinses as big as mangoes on all time frames.
* I have now achieved a sense of calm in my trading. The trading plan is now the foundation of all of my trades and if the trade doesn't conform I don't take it. I am now a little "arrogant" with my trade selections resulting in less trading but very comfortable in waiting for the trade.
* reinforced that DiNapoli FibNodes was the only way to go for my trading (not that I ever doubted it).
I have read the DiNapoli textbook probably a dozen times if not more. The 2 day course consolidated all that was in the book and then took me to the next level. I can now look at intraday postings on the website and they now make sense particularly those referring to commodities or currencies where some of the more advanced traders have detailed their trades.
Cannot make it up to Bangkok in November but am keen to do the advanced course the next time after that so if you could put my name down I would appreciate it. Liz (wife) was meant to come away with me on this trip to the US but her mum got crook which buggered up the baby-sitting so she stayed home and hence taking off again so soon after this trip is a bit gutsy!! Will be putting on the party shoes for Bangkok so please let me know if you have anything planned for next year.
Cheers and Beers,
Paul

Joe,
It was great to finally meet you after having studied your book for over four years. Personally the greatest benefit I got from the seminar was greater confidence in the trade plan and my ability to implement it, and motivation to get started. I'm funding my account this week, I'll be watching the markets real time next week and placing some live trades the following week. Meeting the other traders was also very beneficial as I don't have any friends who trade. It's nice to know I'm not the only one taking on the difficult task of becoming a full-time professional trader.
I would highly recommend a private seminar to anyone who has seriously decided to use your trade plan to become a profitable trader.

Hi Pat,
I'd like to start the 60 day password to client pages next week and would be grateful if you could arrange. I watched the DVD today and enjoyed it … the DVD met its objective and refreshed the concepts that Joe presented in Orlando. I'm about two thirds way through the book now and the DVD helped me grasp the concepts by the examples given with narration. Merrick Okamoto's presentation in the DVD was equally impressive and provided a good insight into market makers.

Hi Joe,
Many thanks for your prompt reply. I am still thinking about my options for charting and using your indicators in a variety of situations and time frames. I certainly understand your comments about the software vendors and their never ending "upgrade" cycles. Since I am fully committed to learning and using your indicators and the trading methodologies based on them, I am trying to figure out a long term solution that does not depend on these never ending software upgrades. I just want to set up the system and forget about it and concentrate on trading. I will most certainly consider your suggestion.
Your book is a delight to read and understand. I am going through page by page. Your methods are eminently practical and elegant. I am hoping that I can adopt the methods you describe in your book as one of my primary methods of daily trading.
Thank you.

(This man returned and then later repurchased the book and everything else we have)
Hi Pat,
Since I returned the book I have gone back to your website many times and reviewed the material there.
My initial response to the Levels book was a little bit "hasty". As I said before I am new to trading. I had made a decision in early February to research the industry and learn as much as I could about technical analysis, etc. I was allowing up to one year before I would actually begin trading after I felt a little bit more knowledgeable and had gained some confidence in understanding. What I have come to realize is that it is quite easy to become overwhelmed and a little confused. I decided this week that I need instruction.
After looking around I see that the prices for your materials are reasonable and fair and Joe's ideas and methods do not appear to be overused. So...I'm considering Joe as my mentor.

Hi Joe,
Just to remind you, I'm that young Chinese guy that just recently finished medical school, and I attended your private seminar last August in Sarasota. I just started my residency at M.D. Anderson Cancer center in Houston. I've been posting some of that Forex stuff on your web pages.
Anyway, I'm in the process of going through all the archived posts in your forum for the second time. And I'm always pleasantly surprised by the insights you had in the stockmarket, bonds, gold, and oil, and then seeing how the events unfolded just as you had written. So last night, I was up until about 2:00 a.m. reading the archived posts. I went to bed and had this peculiar dream:
that these 2 large men in black suits and dark sunglasses knocked on my door (they looked kinda like Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones in "Men in Black"). So I opened the door, and they started giving me the 3rd degree: "are you a client of Joe DiNapoli's? are you a member of his web forum? do you post messages there often?" And they really wanted to know "Do you know the recent whereabouts of Joe DiNapoli?" Figuring that you might be in some trouble with the government, and wanting to protect you and not give you away, I protested that "yes, I did attend your seminar years ago, but no, I had no idea where you were, and haven't heard from you since."
Then, one of the guys in the dark suits says to me "Well, about a decade ago, Mr. DiNapoli defected from one of the US government's top secret "fiscal/monetary" agencies, and has been revealing to the public the top secret trading methods of the government, and how the governments of every major nation in the world manipulates the markets at key levels known as "fib-levels." In an attempt to contain these secrets, the government tried to apprehend you at your home in Florida, but alas, discovered too late that you had escaped to Thailand with your co-conspirator Pat.
Before turning around to leave my door, this dark-suited guy says (in a very ominous tone), "It also might interest you to know that the SEC and other top government agencies are monitoring what's being said on this internet forum very closely . . . . "
I woke up from this dream thinking, "oh my god!" I've got to destroy all my passwords, burn your book, un-install my coast trading package and cqg from my computer!!! it took awhile before I realized it was just a weird dream!
Anyway, just wanted to share this with you. Hope you got a little entertainment out of it. But sometimes, it's really un-nerving and spine-tingling to read how you said the Dow would support at 9000, then at 7500, etc.
Thanks again for everything!
take care,
and beware of shady looking guys in dark suits and sunglasses!
Eugene H.
Eugene this is hilarious,
Fact is that I truly thought, when I discovered this stuff back in the mid 80's... that after a presentation I would be approached by those men in black.
Trench coated figures that would firmly and politely tell me to "keep my mouth shut". That I could use the stuff for my own trading but otherwise, this was my last workshop.
I waited for their appearance for years. Then I published the book. Truth is, I'm still looking over my shoulder.
Great to hear from you!

I started trading off the floor recently , after more than twenty years in the pits .It didn't take long for me to realize this was going to be a harder transition than I thought . Seeking Joe D. out was a great trade in itself . Joe has years of valuable trading experience and his teaching skills put him over the top . I can honestly say that , since working with Joe , my trading skills have improved immensely . The critical difference is knowing what entry/exit points will give you an optimal risk/ reward ratio and Joe DiNapoli delivered . Thanks Joe .---------Chicago .

9 February 2003
Dear Joe,
Without doubt, your seminar was the best I ever attended, and I have been to several. Some of the so-called gurus were too superficial. Some were more interesting in supporting their egos than in teaching. Some dusted off the standard indicators without adding useful insights to trading them. Some professed to have a unique approach that had a high probability of success, but never revealed the details necessary to fully understand the process for implementation. Some offered impressive back-tested results of their proprietary(?) systems but had never traded them in real time. Some had the personality of a train wreck and thus couldn't teach a squad of troops with diarrhea how to get to the latrine. I could go on and on, but you get the message.
With that experience, I arrived at your home with skeptical anticipation, at best. That feeling was soon relieved. Your reception was warm. The atmosphere for learning was friendly. The method of instruction was designed to accommodate each attendee's personal needs. Your desire to imbue the proper trading skills was obviously sincere. The approach was hands-on rather than professional. The structure was flexible. A thorough understanding of a key principle was required before the instruction moved forward. All in all, the instructional experience was most enlightening. On top of that, it was fun, an essential to the learning process. Anyone who did not go away a significantly better trader should not have come in the first place.
What was taught? Simple. The Plan, the Plan, toujours le Plan. Consistent profits would follow if one followed religiously a reasonable plan-not with blinders, but with a flexible discipline.
The idea that a trading plan is paramount over financial reward is not an easy concept to embrace. However, the more on analyses it, the more sense that notion makes. Profit won't result unless the plan works. If one is not getting profits, either the plan is faulty of its execution is flawed.
Moreover, a good plan account for the probability of losses-and, there will be some. However, when such accountability is incorporated in the plan, their appearance is not destructive to the mind of the pocketbook. The amount of profits will exceed, to an acceptable degree, the losses. If it does not, again either the plan is at fault of its execution is. Thus, there is a built-in test of the plan. Its success will bring happiness because that will not only insure profits, but also will satisfy one's ego, thirst for success in an adverse environment, desire for excitement, wish to prove one's self, or any other motivational itch. So, however you put it, proper execution of a good plan is tantamount to financial success and thereby is the goal to be achieved.
I won't comment on the detailed elements of the plan you taught except to say that it is comprehensive, executable by laymen and includes entry and exit techniques, money management principles and personal discipline factors essential to all levels of trading in any markets.
What else can I say other than, "Thank you, Joe." The experience was most pleasurable and rewarding. I look forward to some future association.

write an outline, kind of an expanded trading plan including the stuff you teach
about money management, coaching yourself, psychology, keeping a diary, etc. I'm
going to review everything one more time (audio tapes, videos, book, notes) and
buy the CTP Genesis software before I get going.
I wish you the best in everything you set your hand to,

Just spoke with Steve M. by phone. He ordered your new video on DVD.
He attended your lecture at a show recently. He walked out of another speaker's room
because the speaker dropped his paperwork and couldn't continue. Although he
entered your lecture late, he was still able to "get it". With what he
has learned about Fibonacci, he has been able to pay off his house and call am
market moves. His account was up 180% last year.

Hi Pat,
Happy New Year.
I got the two books last weekend and enjoyed reading my copy.
Very clearly written, understandable and looks to be based on very powerful
ideas.
The other copy has gone to a friend and I am sure he will find it equally
useful.
Thanks very much,

Great book Joe.....it is the most succinct and lucid trading book I
have read thus far. If your course and software equal it, I believe you
offer the closest thing to a one stop shop for traders.
Now all I need to do is absorb all of this and put it into practice!
I am fresh out of a Forex trading course which has proven itself to be a waste of
money...that is why I was directed to your book by a trader I bumped into at
a party! Also when are you coming out to Australia for a seminar or speaking
engagement?

... thanks for developing this method of trading.
Having been a student of yours for about two years now, things are
really starting to click into place as regards the real integration of leading and lagging indicators and different timeframes etc - I used to think it was similar to Elliott but have come to realise how distinctly superior it is. I'm having more and more 'lightbulb' moments as I come to understand things that I'd heard/read but never appreciated at the time.
Many Thanks!

I have read your book twice now, and it's sinking in - excellent and
thorough strategy. I've gone down the non-judgement route, and your
approach is rather refreshing and liberating. I'm an EE and have done some
interesting mechanical designs using Fibonacci principles, so the DiNapoli
levels are very natural for me. Your book does a good job of anchoring the
golden ratio in a granite foundation. I also appreciate you sharing many of
your hard earned trading insights so generously.
I look forward to studying the rest of your material, and get going trading!
I hope to attend your January seminar in Florida.

Dear Joe,
I recently purchased Trading With DiNapoli Levels, and I am about 1/3 to
1/2 the way through the book. Although I have not finished it yet, I
must tell you it is one of the best, if not the best, books on trading I
have ever read, and I have read many, many books on trading. This is
the first book on a trading methodology that has presented the
methodology in a clear and meaningful way, such that I could actually
understand exactly how I could get in and get out of a trade. My
congratulations to you on a job well done.
I am so impressed with the book that I intend to order the In Home

Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

Hi Joe,
Kenny and I would like to come to Thailand for the live real time workshop. I think we would benefit tremendously. I learned a lot at your private seminar. I finally understood some of the
material I was having problems with--you made it all so clear. Now I hope to come to Thailand to put it all into practice under your watchful eye. They say "give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you feed him for life."soon after that workshop I intend to do some pretty serious fishing. The Chinese philosopher Confucius said" there is nothing more pleasant in life than to pass on to others what one has learnt for oneself." Joe, I think he had you in mind when he made that statement for I have found no one who would have invited us into their livingroom to pass on your knowledge to us which you have learnt from the school of hard knocks and the price you paid ie healthwise

Hi Joe,
I just wanted to say thanks for putting on such an awesome seminar this past weekend. I really believe that by meeting you, I have gained a deeper understanding of your trading methods. More importantly, I have gained an understanding of what it means to achieve the right balance and having the right goals in one's life and career.
I honestly meant what I said, when I told you that having the opportunity to learn from you was one of the best things that has happened in my life thus far. And I thank God (or whatever is out there) that I had the good fortune to meet you so early in my life. Many years from now, I know that I will look back on this past weekend as one of the truly pivotal moments in my life.
Thanks again for everything - not only for taking the time to share your knowledge and experience with us - but also for simply being such an honest and straight-up guy.
I'll keep in touch and let you know of my progress!

I'm on the last chapter of the book. I'm going to read it again more slowly & then do

concentrate on becoming an excellent trader.
Thanks for your very honest contribution.

Dear Joe:
I really look forward to the video.
Today I was lucky enough to catch the RR Track trade that started just after noon on the 5 min S&P chart and went from 1069 to 1062. They shook me out at 1068.25, but a soon as I got filled I realized it was just a fake out and I got right back in at 1067.75.
There were 2 good LPOs. One at 1063 and one at 1059.50. They held the price back at 1065 for a long time before it fell through. Since I felt the downward pressure on the market I held it through 1063 and it behaved pretty good as it went through this area. I decided not to be a pig and get out as
soon as it hit 1061. There was one tick at 1061 (on the e-minis) and I immediately placed an order to close the position at the market and got filled at 1061.75. The price reversed very quickly.
I was very lucky to 6 handles out of this trade. These are the first 6 handles I owe to you and your generous sharing of trading concepts that really work. Thanks.
All the Very Best!

Dear Joe:
I just wanted to send you a note telling you how much I am looking forward to your seminar. I feel really lucky to have you as a teacher.
For the past month I have really focused in on studying your methods. I have listened to your 8 tape seminar and read almost all of the DiNapoli Levels book. I read the book that came with the proportional divider.
I have set my indicators as you prescribed and am using the proportional divider. It is amazing how well your methods work. I hope and believe that they will stand the test of time. You can not imagine how much I appreciate your methods having studied and used other unsuccessful methods for the
past year.
I watched the markets for about two weeks before I really tried using your methods while trading. My plan for June was not to trade, because I wanted to be ready for your seminar and I just had so much personal stuff going on.
Anyhow, I just could not not trade. I kept watching the S&P market do exactly what it should with your methods so I put on three trades all winners. The first trade was for the first 3.75 handles out of a 23 handle ove. (Sorry I got out too soon, as the chicken inside me got the better of me). The second trade went right to the 3/8 Fibnode where I exited my short for a gain of 5.75 handles. I felt that the market was going to fall much further, but to my surprise it immediately reversed and went the other way. I am sure glad that I went for the COP. The third trade I had to exit early because I was traveling and I had to go. The MACD still had me short but I got out with a gain of 1.75 handles.
All I can say is that it is great to be making winning trades and I want to thank you in advance for your great teachings. The only thing that I regret is that I bought your book and tapes in November of last year and I didn't start reading and listening to them until June; 8 months after I bought them.
See you on Saturday,
All the Best,
C.G.

Joe,
I am not in the habit of constantly contacting teachers when I begin
learning from them, so please forgive the intrusion. However I had to tell
you that I have begun reading your book and trading your levels.
First, the book is really well written and concise.
Second, I have started trading your levels and have had great success. I have been keeping close stops, since the markets are "War Crazy". But I've acheived about 88% success so far. I'm trading small until I can digest more of your book.
Thanks very much for putting your ideas out there. That is certainly one of the biggest risks you have taken.
Take care,

Dear Joe:
Thanks for holding this seminar. I will attend it and really look forward to it with great anticipation.
I have been reading your book DiNapoli levels. The more I read the deeper my respect grows for you. I know that your techniques will be very helpful to my trading results. My only regret is that I spent so much time trying to figure out successful S&P trading techniques that have been dead end streets. I spent 6 months on xxxxxxxxx trading techniques and the markets have changed so that his xxxx trading methods and set ups have a low probability of success and a high probability of risk. This is primarily due to decimalization and more funds on the NYSE affecting the way the tick is behaving.
Although XXXX is a great guy and I learned much from him, I lost about 6 months towards my goal of being a profitable trader on a consistent basis.
So far I have been able to listen to 4 of your tapes and I am through chapter 4 in your book. My goal is by the time of your seminar I will have finished the tapes and your book. I want to come to the seminar with a certain degree of knowledge so that what you teach will be more meaningful. So far in your Las Vegas seminars, the tapes and the book I have thoroughly enjoyed your teachings.
Thank you for your sharing of techniques that really work to help a trader like me make more money at the end of the day. I especially thank you for the 3 period rule, and the never let a substantial profit turn into a loss rule. These concepts and their application have really helped me cut my losses. After a year of trading I am about break even now.
I want you to know that I really appreciate your sharing these tricks of the trade at your free seminar in Las Vegas.
Sorry for rambling so long. I just want you to know where I am coming from.
Thanks again and I'll see you in June 22nd.
All the Best,

Hi Joe,
I just received my book & course through a friend (who came over from the States) last night & I'm already on Chapter 8. You are a bloody good writer! Why isn't the book available at Amazon - I'm sure I would have come across ages ago & saved myself the time & money I've wasted on other books. I'm hoping that this will be the last trading book I buy in a long long time. Do you plan to write another book?
Is there any similarity b/w DLevels and - Robert Fischer's, Bernard Mitchell's, Ed Moore's or Robert Miner's methodologies? A friend of mine said they are all the same thing packaged differently. Judging from websites alone, DLevels (in my own opinion) appears the most authentic & I wondered if you could shed any more light.
Many thanks.
O.U.
No more books planned for a time-- just too difficult if you do a good job.
video project is due out some time soon.
We could not reach an agreement with Amazon.
There are similarities between D-Levels and other books on the subject of
trading.
Some of the people you have mentioned were former students.
Just like cooks--some really understand the subject and know what to do
with it, some are good, some are poor, and some make you throw up.
I'll leave it to the student/client to decide where I fit in. Judging from
the response I think most find the material quite useful and well done.
Thanks for your comments,

Joe,
I'm the opinionated one that used to work for Ken Roberts. I just wanted to congratulate you on and thank you for the great time Saturday. The time seemed to fly by . I especially appreciate your clear-headed and objective analyses. Even in the area of politics (where objectivity is sorely lacking) you can stand back and see things as they are. Maybe, given your fundamental analysis of the world scene coupled with the technical analysis of bonds you showed us, it IS time to move to Thailand.
I also greatly appreciate the insight into the "Modified" trading plan you showed us. I intend to investigate that one thoroughly. The rest, well, I guess it was in the book but the review was much appreciated. I, for instance, need to reexamine my use of the 3x3. I hardly pay attention at the moment, on any time frame. Something I have known is wrong for some time but I still don't feel I have a good way to correct. The psychology of the whole thing is just weird sometimes.
Again, Joe,
My thanks,
J. W.

Neal,
Since the seminar last month, I have either gotten lucky or some of what you were teaching has ubbed off. Boy what a difference in results!
I don't think I'm out of the woods yet, however, as I make one mistake after another. What is so interesting is that when I am entering with the DiNapoli wind at my back, the mistakes turn out to be not so very severe, or I can recover from them and actually make a dollar or two. It's also nice to be able to recognize a mistake and not just blunder along clueless.
Thanks, Neal, for the excellent and effective presentation. I could see that you work very hard for your students. My notes are a goldmine of information.
All best,

It was the most informative seminar I have been to. The reason is that I have always wondered why the price moves when it does and what causes it to move. With your course I now have a chance to predict those moves, that in the past, where unexplained. The section on indicators and how to bracket the time frames I also needed to hear.
I purchased your Thrust Scanner software and have just finished my first scan.

Hi Joe-
I attended the seminar taught by Neal this past weekend, and I can to tell you it is the best class on trading I have ever taken, and I have taken many! He did a fabulous job of presenting the material in an organized format, then tied it all together in the end with real strategies that I will put to work this week. Your industry is filled with hucksters' who flunked out as traders, so they instead turn to teaching and/or selling deceptive software programs. It is obvious that Neal is a "Real" trader, and the fact that he is a gifted teacher as well is very rare.
I read your book several times before taking the seminar, (which I would recommend to anyone planning on attending) and it has made a significant difference in my trading even before the class. It is hands-down the best book I have read for anyone serious about being a trader, and with Neal
teaching your material you have an unbeatable combination.
I will enthusiastically recommend both your materials and your training to anyone smart enough to listen.

Also, I received your follow up with charts included. Thank you again for your conscientious efforts to make us better traders. I am looking forward to thanking you, and Joe, with good reason, many more times in the future.
Thanks again for making this a truly pleasant and unique learning experience.
Deeply grateful,

Neal,
Thank you for a most interesting and educational weekend. You did a great job of organizing the material to our personal needs. I could not have asked for a better format. Very well presented.
I also want to personally thank you for opening up your home to us to minimize costs. Most presenters would want to perform in some lavish and expensive hotel in some exotic part of the world.
I will look forward to attending another seminar with you. Please let me know when you will be doing an advanced class.
Thanks, Mike V.

I plan attending the seminar in Las Vegas and I am trying to arrange my schedule to get the most done with the least conflicts.
Also I have been listening to your tapes and I have been enjoying them very much. Your analogy of the boxers, wrestlers, Chuck Norris, invalids and druggies in the ring is priceless.

Hi Neal
Just a quick note to say a big thanks for a great seminar - it was good to actually hear someone talking about what up until now I've only really read about.
I came away with a pretty long list of points that I'd previously missed/misinterpreted - certainly didn't regret coming on the Seminar - quite the opposite!
I've come away feeling far more focussed - I'm going to concentrate purely on daily and weekly B&Bs for the
time being.

Pat and Joe
A special thanks for shining a light in the fog. I have been trading for about a year and have easily spent $30K on various seminars. The results are an unbelievable amount of work, serous skepticism (or sarcasm) of anyone presenting anything anywhere, and my wife thinking I have lost my mind. Fact for me is, most who teach, are clueless. Fact is also I love to trade, will not give up, and wish I had started 25 years ago.
Your book and presentation have given me an insight into trading that I always felt existed, but was unable to grasp. Your material is most encouraging.
If there is anyway to join you or your colleagues in the private instruction of your system, I would be appreciative. I understand the current class is full, but if there is enough interest maybe you will do another one. I live in Sarasota.
Thanks again,

Thank you for a sensational seminar, you did an outstanding job in teaching us what we needed based on our understanding of the markets. I personally came to the seminar looking to put the finishing touches to my trading, and you gave me exactly what I was looking for.
Since getting home and going through my charts of the last week, I can see trades that stick out a mile. So I feel very confidant in trading this year, once again thank you.

Hi Neal,
The seminar was great! Had a good time in your educational though informal workshop. It was just the way that I would have liked to have had a weekend of market analysis. Good time... informative and relaxed.
There were some questions that I had that were answered during the weekend so I've walked away quietly confident that only good things are to come my way as regards trading. I had made some observations about various conditions in the market that you covered...
I'm sure to benefit for many years to come. It was very good to have met you and hope to catch up from time to time.
Thanks very much for the weekend! Like I said... it was fun and informative in the best possible way.

Could you please advise the name of one or two good real forex brokers?

Please point me in the right direction concerning forex brokers.

Dear Fibnodes,
I originally learned of Fibonacci principals from Joe DiNapoli who was a guest on a business channel (Channel 22) that was broadcasted from San Diego, CA, back in 1999. Thereafter, this business channel was changed to a new station and I lost track of it. It was hosted by Mike Russell and I wanted to know if Mr. DiNapoli is still appearing as Mr. Russell's guest on this program. If so, what is the new channel?????? I would LOVE to find this program again. Can you give me any help or information? Please advise. . . .

I've been reading your book last 2 days. Excellent!
I have been trading SP e-mini intraday on a 5-min basis/chart using eSignal data and Ensign software for more than 18 months . . I like XXXXXXX and XXXXX and would like to continue using them. I don't have XXXXXXXXXXXX/XXXXXXXXX/XXXX(tried them and did not like some aspect of each) and would like to stay simple.
What product would benefit me most? My understanding from reading your book and reviewing your website.
[1] Integrated FibNodes 5.0 for Windows( I am running Windows 2000)
I Would appreciate your comments and thoughts before I purchase a product.
Many Thanx

The FibNodes software would be an excellent next step but you may want to include the Trading Course.
Esignal and Ensign would be fine! Ensign does (or did) all our indicators (MACD Stochastic etc)properly.
The whole approach was developed on the 5 minute S&P which I've been trading since it started in 1982 so you've got the best stuff for the job.

I used one of your trade signals yesterday on Eur/Usd. ie "the 3x3 double repo failure "on my crazy 225 min chart. It came off a treat. I recommended this on the Gxxxxx-Vxxx forex forum, and since then I've had a few enquiries about this methodology. I pointed them in your direction so expect an influx of requests for "DiNapoli Levels" through Coast Investment or the Gxxxxx-Vxxx bookstore. I hope you don't mind as you prefer not to have too much exposure and I wished too help other traders like myself. On thier forum I use the name "Derry N.I. stealth" if you want to have a look.

Mr. Joe DiNapoli,
I purchased your book, "Trading with DiNapoli Levels", sometime last year and I finally got to study it. While I am truly enjoying and learning a lot of unique ideas from it, I came across number of numerical mistakes. I am certain you are aware of it, that in Chapter 12 "Tying it together" every single calculation of FibNodes, COP and XOP expansion points are wrong. On
chart 12-3 given the F point as 11411 and the 0.382 retracement as 11421, the reaction point should be 11437, which is approximately where the top of the gap is. So is incorrect the COP OP and XOP in reference to Chart 11-17.
Possibly there are other similar mistakes in the book.
Would it be possible to receive from you a complete list of corrections you have made to the 1998 edition?
Thank you in advance,
B. H.
From: Trader Jo
Hi B.,
We have corrected a few Typos but there has never been a case where calculations were known to be incorrect. You would not believe the number of edits prior to release!
I think the issue you raise has to do with calculations on bonds where the last 2 digits are in 32nds, since this is the way the instrument trades.
For fast user interaction in explosive and volatile markets the FibNodes software recognizes, calculates and displays bond and note instruments in 32nds. This is much better for the trader.
We're very glad you enjoyed the book!

Joe,
When I first started trading in 1999, I bought and read Trading with DiNapoli Levels, bought and used (to some extent) both versions of your software, and took your Fibonacci Money Management and Trend Analysis Trading Course. I'll spare you the details, but I got away from your strategies and methodologies early on without learning them well.
As luck would have it, I enjoyed some wonderful beginner's luck short term trading beans and making profits in other markets with a couple of good systems during 1999 and 2000. Like a typical beginner, though, I've never learned a strong discipline well enough to operate on my own. This year I started trying to develop and use my own strategies. The market has handed
me my ass.
After all this experience, I can see much more clearly the value of your technique. So, I am getting back to it. I am trading intraday now with a $50,000 account, using CQG. What would you suggest I do to get back up to speed with your stuff? I have now been humbled and feel mature enough as a trader to learn some of the things you taught but I didn't appreciate in
the beginning.
Thanks,
R. L.

Hi Pat, I received the book and I'm very impressed: it has a nice cover and you start learning from the first page. No doubt, Mr Di Napoli is a great writer and also a good trader. Thanks a lot, I hope to start trading using Di Napoli advices before all the stocks stop falling (let's get short!!! lol)
Well, also as you can see the Spanish post service works fine. Yesterday in the evening I received the book (that is, at 12.00 PM in the US East Coast of July the 10th).
Thanks a lot again and don't doubt about writing an e-mail if you need anything anytime from Spain... Congratulations for the book to Mr. Di Napoli and for you as you're a great assistant.

Hi, Joe!
I bought your book "Trading with DiNapoli Levels" end of April, set it aside, and picked it up to read on vacation up at the summer house up north. The only dumb move was not reading it right away when I got it.
I just wanted to say thanks, because your book is excellent. Really excellent, actually.
You know those unbelievable calls you warn about? I believe in unbelievable calls. I'm not getting overconfident yet. Just today I calculated the LPOs on an ABC market swing and I'll be damned if we didn't hit the COP already, pause, and go on. My first Minesweeper. Calculated from a 60 min chart, entry using a 5-min and a 30-min pair. I used my own definition of Trend and Direction since I haven't figured out the Stochastic/MACD combo you use yet. I do use a MACD, but it may not be the one you recommend. However, the 3X3 DMA is VERY useful used in conjunction with my own definitions. Yep, I checked on
Direction and Trend in Monthly, Weekly, and Daily charts before I got to the 60 min chart. You warned me not to get lazy and I won't.

I've been applying Joe's techniques for several months now using 'liquid' stocks - mainly directionals on thrusting stocks. I'm using
stockcharts.com's customisable stockscreener to try and find adequately thrusting stocks.
I'm still papertrading following a statistically amazing run of small losses early on, but am now starting to consistently hit winning trades. I figured that if you can't 'make money' on paper trades there's little probability of being able to do so using the real thing.
Anyway - am finding this Board (client forums) hugely helpful - thanks Joe and your colleagues for all your comments and insights.

Good book on the subject; better than Pxxxxxxxx - 3x times the price, also.... a good book that covers most of the things that you'd need to know about Fib and trading techniques with it. Plus how to make a system, details about some of the usual indicators that you see on your average trading software.
A complete package since DiNapoli has it's own indicators for TS.....that you can use to implement some of his good ideas on trading. He also has his own forum of discussion for support. It improved my trading since most of the Fib patterns can show you low risk/high probability trades...

Dear Joe,
Just wanted to drop you a short and thank you for sharing your knowledge of trading. I have been using it for about a month now, after taking the course from Neal Hughes. I have to say even though I am just getting started, it has given me incredible insight into the movement of the markets within the parameters you have described in your book.
The contrast is of course what I knew from before, which is much the same as the general public, nothing!!! I have spent a lot of time and great deal of money up to this point trying to get knowledge of the market. Finally I am able to analyze a stocks movement, where it is coming from, where it is going to and why.
Thanks again,

I have finally had the time, with the CQG and all your stuff properly arrayed and available, not cobbled together, with the time to sit and follow through moves and finally clearly see the integration of the time frames, really understand the effect of direction, which is a hell of a lot more significant than i previously thought or realized. It all came together the last four days.
I have no other reason to tell you than I really mean it, but your genius really shows through once one understands what's going on. It really is like a flowing picture. I am very grateful to you for the work you have done and grateful to myself for having stuck with it for the THIRTEEN years ! since I first met you. The material has never gotten a chance given the piecemeal way I've tried to trade. I have never really gotten it until now and its like a light comes on when you finally see it.
All the times I've heard you speak (two private seminars) and multiple listening to the tapes and reading the book, you just don't get it until you sit hour after hour, bump your head multiple times, make multiple errors and finally see it.
Dealing in numbers, charts, money, competition, its probably hard to realize the human side of what you have done, but you have made a significant difference in my life and ultimately that of my family.
Thank you. Good to hear from you. Hope you're well.

I have started to rebuild my confidence in trading after reading your book. I was able to identify a Double RePo in USD/SWF last Thursday(9.21.00) and subsequently managed to recover much of my losses caused by an extremely poor entry I made some weeks ago before receiving your book. (I would have been able to avoid such a serious mistake if I had considered the context of the trade, to which you attach great importance in your book.) XOP was achieved the next day after the Confirmed Double RePo, helped by the central banks' joint intervention

Dear Joe
What a terrific teacher you are! I really appreciate your clarity and directness. It's refreshing.
I have to tell you that even without using the power of the MACD/Stochastic comb. which I am learning to use, the use of the 3 X 3 in itself, along with the leading indicators work, has resulted in an increase--in the market since April!--of nearly 75 % in my profits. I thought I was a pretty savvy trader, but I feel like I've been a freshman until discovering the power of this work.
Here's a mystery to me. I'm not sure, but I think that none of the direct access brokers have displaced moving averages available in their charting software. I don't know whether to be pxxxxx or thrilled! Some (not all) major data vendors do have it, but as you know, they don't always set the line out the actual periods, which creates a visual problem.
Thanks Joe, you are a champ.
Joe DiNapoli:
G. Max,
There's really a lot to your question.
I use the 3X3 on Day week and monthly charts-- Only in thrusting markets though there is some limited value in sloppy markets where i depend more on the 7X5 or 25X5.
Then I drop to the MACD/Stochastic for all intra day analysis. I also may use the MACD/Stochastic for the higher time frames as well as a conformation of the trend as defined by the DMA's.There are variations of use for these indicators which depend largely on your experience and skill level in using them. The DMA's are easier to use while the MACD/Stochastic is more powerful. The most powerful use of the 3x3 is in defining 3 of your directional signals and to help you to define thrust.
Hope this helps.

Joe's book has lots of excellent strategies. I agree that it is not easy to apply to real trading at first. After several months of struggle, I finally decided to trade only B&B and to master it. Since February this year, I had 17 B&B trades with only 2 losers. My point is, start out with one or two directional signals. Pick some easy ones like B&B or DPRO. Study them and master them. Once your confidence is built up, you can then move on to other strategies in the book.
Don't give up. Good luck.

Joe,
I have a question but first...
I want to tell you that I know nothing about trading. Certainly, not enough to make any reliable judgement about anyone's methodology. I ordered your book and tapes based on something that is somewhat intangible. In reading your interview and in conversation you struck me as very genuine and honest. Those same qualities were apparent in Neil, as I spoke with him, prior to
deciding to attend the recent seminar. He has been very generous and forthcoming with information, above and beyond what would normally be expected. These things speak to me more than any benefit I may gain from studying your techniques. So, I want to give credit where it's due. I like meeting people like yourselves. I hope there are more of you out there.
My question is in regards to Forex. As far as I can tell, the only accurate and reliable way to trade Forex with your indicators is with CQG, unless you get eSignal to feed Metastock so Intraday CTP can read those files. I am not interested, at this time, in intraday trading, just making my entry intraday once i see support/resistance on a daily fibnode. If I didn't explain this properly, perhaps you could just tell me what you have found the best route to be.
Thanks for your patience, time, and efforts.

Joe,
I have read Trading with DiNapoli levels for the second time, and I am studying the Trading course. I just wanted to tell you that your material is the most relevant, realistic approach to trading the markets that I have encountered, and I have spent much time and money looking at the works of many.
Earlier in my trading experience I was not ready to comprehend the Fibonacci and money management concepts you teach, but as the saying goes "when the student is ready, the teacher will appear".....
Your method of using Trend analysis (Stochs, MACD, DMA's and the Detrended oscillator) is simple but brilliant. It very much agrees with my style of trading. I only wish I had taken the time and found you 3 years ago for I would have an extra 100k in my personal trading account.
As a money manager using Index mutual funds for my clients and being limited to end of day daily trading, I have caught the last couple of moves for a solid gain for my clients in the NDX using Fib analysis to determine entry and exit.
I know I have much to learn before I come close to mastering the many techniques in your work, but I now feel so much more confident making trades with just what I have learned so far. I look forward to taking a private seminar in the near future.
I could not be more excited about learning and applying the methods in your excellent and unsurpassed research and work as it applies to trading the markets.
Sincerely,
Randy S.

After reading the beginning of the book, I feel more confident I am on the right track with my own trading techniques and understanding........
For a not wealthy person such as myself, it is the perfect solution. I admit I have so far been doing more watching than trading. However, I have gained a much better understanding of myself, my good points and my faults. I have seemed to have devised a trading system...... I am starting to make more positive moves than negative in that account.

I'm a very satisfied customer of yours... I bought Trading with DiNapoli Levels a few months ago and am very happy with the results. I have read it through several times, and I still carry it with me back and forth on the train.
I also read your article Savagetrader.com... very interesting..........
Hopefully you have a few moments to respond, but I understand if you don't, and thanks for writing such a great book.

Jo,
I just wanted to say, after being home for a week and in front of a CQG screen for a couple of days how much I enjoyed the seminar, if you want to call it that. It felt more like hanging out with a great trader and having him just totally unselfishly share everything that came up that could be of benefit.
I had a great time, learned a lot, gained confidence, and will surely join you for a follow up session or any other forum that you come up with.....
Thanks again.

Thanks Joe,
Can't tell you how very good your seminar turned out to be. We were right, that it takes drill, drill, and more drill to solidify your method into one's brains. Would you consider an invitational class only for those who successfully participated in the first seminar and who you feel are of the caliber you want to teach the next level?
I put the FibNoded 30 and 5 minute charts to work the last two days and got some very exact retracement halts once I knew where to place these setups.

I agree with ya there like it's like cheating!!!! )))
What I meant by "self-fulfilling" is that the floor and major off-floor players know where the key fib levels exist on most time frames, so, in a sense, the floor and big money move price to those levels....What's important is what happens next at those levels...price is either repelled by a fib level (reversal), or price is repelled and then accelerates through that level like a knife through hot butter (successful test or bounce followed by a failure), or price blows through the level like it doesn't exist (stop run or bid/offer vacuum). from experience by observing price, you can get a feeling for what might happen at the fib levels.
TJ
Neal Hughes wrote
Some would disagree that fib analysis is a self-fulfilling prophesy. There are many who believe that the more a certain technique is used (more traders using it) the less likely it will work in the markets. There is a conflict there, a trader can't believe both. Any-way, for whatever reason, Fibs work well in all liquid markets!

Subject "Trading With DiNapoli Levels" question.
posted to the Oxxxx-List..
Recently some of you had high praise for this book. After reading some reviews, the table of contents and a couple of articles by DiNapoli I'm almost ready to buy it. However I am afraid that the book might actually be a $200 sales brochure for $800 in software.
I trade stocks eod, (end-of-day) trying to catch trends and have no desire to diddle with intraday data. Are DiNapoli's ideas predicated on
multiple time frames? Have you folks been able to put his ideas to effective use without "Fibnodes" and the "Oscillator
Predictor?"
Thank you for your attention. I'll welcome all comments.
Brad R.
Brad,
The book is the complete trading methodology. It's not an advertising brochure for his software.
You can trade DiNapoli techniques without FibNodes or the Coast Trading Package. You will find those software packages
very convenient, but not essential. The only proprietary indicator that requires software from DiNapoli is his Oscillator-Predictor, though you can use his Detrended Oscillator to replace the Oscillator Predictor. The Detrended Oscillator as well as all the other indicators he uses (except the Oscillator Predictor) are disclosed in the back of the "Trading With DiNapoli Levels" book.
Most of the formulas for the DiNapoli indicators can be downloaded from his website http//www.fibtrader.com in the proprietary client area. If you buy his book directly from DiNapoli, you get 60 days free access to that area, otherwise you get 30 days access. If you see the value of the coaching and mentoring web pages and forums, it's a better deal to skip the book-store discount
and buy direct. I volunteer my time to help traders on that website, so maybe I'll get to know you there?
Let me know if you have more questions.
-Neal.
Brad
This book will show you some techniques that you'll find very useful. The fib work that Joe teaches you in the book is fairly easy to learn and yet is a very powerful addition to your trading tools. The software Joe sells makes some of the calculations easier, but the only thing I can think of that Joe teaches that you can't do without the software is use the oscillator predictor.
I've said before here that I rank this book as one of my top five books on trading. I use the techniques in it all day long in my trading. Joe is an excellent educator.

Thanks for your response. I got hold of DiNapoli Levels. This was the first book I have ever read in a single sitting - enough said!!
With the time differences between markets in US and UK, the "less stressful" alternative approach discussed briefly by yourself with evening analysis etc.
I am seriously considering the use of CTP and Fibnodes as software options.
Once again, warmest thanks and regards for such an enthralling read - I have a lot to learn!!

Jason,
The entire approach will work across time frames. One day to several weeks is no problem. If one is trading intra day, one
needs extremely accurate methods which is why so many day traders turn to our approach but it is not necessary to trade those time frames to benefit.
When you get the book see page 17. I had an oil position in 99 that lasted many months using the same approach!

Good morning
I read your comments on the DiNapoli forum page with great interest. Although I have been using Fibonacci levels for years now, I am new to Joe DiNapoli's techniques. What I have seen of Joe's work (I am half way through his book) is extremely interesting and it seems to be a logical progression of my current trading style.
I have been in the FX/Futures industry for 20 years now and started as a floor trader on the .......xxxxxxxxx Exchange. I left the floor of the Exchange in 1985 to work in FX where I have been, apart from a 1 year sabbatical ....... , ever since. I was fortunate enough to be introduced to technical analysis very early in my career and it has been the basis of my trading ever since. I use xxxxxxxxx to display hourly and daily charts using Jxxxxx Cxxxxxs. I have always used moving averages to define trend and Fibonacci retracement levels to establish a position on a reaction to that trend. This is why, when I read about Joe's techniques......, it struck a chord with me.
I am considering taking a personal seminar with Joe this year and was encouraged to read that you found it so useful. I decided to contact you because I feel it is important to exchange views and ideas with like-minded people (Joe also recommends this in his book).

I look forward to attending one of your seminars if you make it to Chicago.

Hi Joe,
To trade and make money one should stick to their trading methodology, this is the only way for me to know if I am at fault or is it the methodology, therefore I can sort the problem out at hand and go forward.
The rules state that a failure is a very strong Directional indicator in play and we should ride with it, so I never see this as a problem. The trading plan is laid out, so I sitck to it.
No second guessing or changing horses in midstream for me anymore.
I had no problems getting on board the failure, they nearly always turn out as very profitable trades. Thanks to the techniqes you put forward to us, they are paying of handsomely.
All the best

Subject: Great Seminar
Neal,
I just wanted to thank you again for a great seminar. I really liked your teaching style and learned a lot in the two days we had. I think the biggest help for me was putting many of the different components of Joe's book into a coherent context that I could work from. I just wasn't seeing some of the system linkages and connections until they were discussed at the seminar. The material's you presented and the discussion really helped me see the forest thru the trees. I understand time frame and direction much better and have made adjustments in my trading approach to reduce risk and improve money management.
I've also expanded my application of LPO's and fibnode retracements and pay much more attention to thrust. Most important I'm having successful trades with reasonable expectations and making some money. There's always more to learn but the opportunity to discuss these techniques has really cemented things I was doing correctly, and given me more confidence in applying Fibonacci. Your
suggestions and comments were invaluable!
Overall it was a very worthwhile experience and I plan to do it again in the future.
Thanks again, it was really great!!

Mel,
You have the correct software, there is only one Oscillator Predictor.. When Joe's book was printed, the Coast Trading Package was in a MS-DOS format, what you have is the revised official Windows version of the Coast Trading Package.
You will notice that the "bands" are printed to the right of the most recent price bar, predicting the maximum overbought and oversold levels using the parametric equation applied to the Detrend Oscillator extremes...So the values of the "bands" are the upper and lower values that would have been supplied by the old DOS version of the software. This method is approved by Joe himself and is how he uses it in his trading.
Thanks for your kind words

Hello Patrtic,
Look in Appendix D- that will give you the values but as it says in the book -- That doesn't mean your software has the right equations or takes all the digits it needs to
xx.xx -- it may only take xx
For a small amount you can be sure you've got it right by buying Coast TP-- and you get the Oscillator Predictor to boot.
To succeed in this you must have the right tools and not take unnecessary chances-God knows there are enough un controllable issues-

I have learned the hard way that you need a mentor if you really want a legitimate shot at becoming a successful trader.
I look forward to exploring the possibilities that your years of study can bring to the market we trade. As I told you, we are Fibonacci traders and believe strongly in these numbers fulfilling themselves when there is a concentration of Fibonaccis at a central point in time. I was already into using Fibonacci's in my trading, but was looking for more depth and education in its use. The proportional divider has become my best friend!
It was a pleasure to visit the Coast booth at the Dxxxxxxx Exxx a few weeks ago, and a pleasure to meet Neal - and didn't we meet
you, too? We were fortunate to have front row seats for Mr. DiNapoli's presentation, which was superb but far too short. He packed a great deal of useful and thought provoking information into a very short time frame - and convinced both of us that his course and tools would be well worth the investment. My latest Nasdaq trade using the Fibnodes has paid for "Levels"
book, the Trading course, the divider, the software and the Expo fees.
We are now discussing attending one of Mr. DiNapoli's seminars, perhaps after the first of the year, so ask that we be kept on the mailing list.
Thanks for your help, and please give Mr. DiNapoli our best regards!

I am just emailing you to express my thanks for your book, "Trading with DiNapoli Levels," because it has really

I have been trading in the futures markets for 3 years now.
I would also like to compliment you on your software. It has cut down my analysis time considerably and is a cinch to operate.
I..... worked for an xxxxxx-based brokerage for nearly a year and recommended your study materials to the
really serious traders that I dealt with. I found that most people wanted winning trades handed to them on a platter
and were not interested in putting forth the amount of effort neccessary to realistically succeed in this business.
I recently read a published interview with you where you were quoted as saying to expect to spend 3 to 5 years
learning how to trade and about $30,000 to $50,000. I faxed copies of this interview to people who I thought
would benefit from an accurate perspective of the futures markets.

Response from other member:
Stuart:
I have owned various versions of his software since the late 1980's. I do own proportional dividers. In my opinion,
unless you keep hand updated charts [I do], you probably don't need them. The software, FibNodes, is really good if
you use fib retracements, projections and look for the confluences and agreements in these numbers. The new version
even allows you to connect it to Signal On-line and have your recent swing prices updated [I do not have Signal
On-line, though I was given a beta copy of Signal On-line at about the same time and used both together for real-time
trading--very nice].
The older DOS version had some very nifty market preparations built in that have since disappeared [but then, most other traders now days have a tool like DT or GET that allow them to set Oscillator levels and scan, for instance]. I have the new version on my trading desk, and I admit I also keep the older version handy as well. This software fits nicely with my trading tools--and I'd think traders that use DT or GET and do fib work would find it very useful.
Finally, I'd add that Joe DiNapoli, Neal Hughes and Tony DiNatale do a great job of teaching and answering questions
on the forums there. You can ask a question, beginning or extremely advanced, and they will patiently set up charts and projections and retracements, etc. until you understand. And they constantly put up examples that are in the current markets that would suit the trading techniques they are teaching. The FibTrader forum is really a hidden gem.
I don't work for Joe or his firm, but I do advocate the tools he teaches and the trading styles shown in his work. I'd say Joe DiNapoli probably taught me more about trade by trade money management than any other person during my career. And by the way, he's a nice guy [rare for high profile traders these days].

Joe,
I just read your book (couldn't put it down) in 2 days. ....... I have seen you speak before (but west in October)................After doing some investigation, I started to think something was there. Your book was a pleasure... I read several books per week, and yours was the first great one I've read in a while..... I'd recommend this to anyone wanting to learn how to trade.
Honestly, it was the most useful book for someone hoping to make a living in this game that I've ever seen - in many ways it's almost complete! Someone probably could read a little on the basics, pick up your book and make a FULL trading plan, and then implement what's in there for a successful career.
Congratulations on a gem...

Dear Joe,
Just a little note to tell you I been thinking of our class almost constantly............ I am so thankful for what you have given me. I looked over and rewrote my notes on the flight home. You opened some windows in my trading education that would not be opened without you. Some things I could have done for myself--like drawing the diagrams, etc.... by hand--but I wouldn't have thought to do it. I will now! Other things, I just simply don't have the background or expertise to give to them to myself.
Your talent and ability is something I highly respect and value (I think you know that)--and, your twinkling eyes, ready laughter, and thoughtful consideration to each of us made the time just fly by for me. I'm sure you were tired--but I didn't want either day to have to end at all. I just loved getting to come to this. It was worth having waited a year for.
Thank you very, very much for this opportunity.

Hi Joe,
I'm really looking forward to our class this weekend. There are so many things I want to learn from you! Would you mind to bring your clipboard so I can see how you note things on it, your files with lineage markings--labeled like you do for the next day's trades?
I need lots of practice on the Directional Indicators and Fib Tactics Chapters 14 and 15 are the hardest for me so I hope you will go over them a little bit. I also need help with the continuous charts--(I don't have any yet)--and, if I need the Oscillator Predictor study to use with them, will you bring one with you for me to purchase when I see you. Thanks!
Your book is not only beautifully written, but the pages with charts and drawings are so artistically arranged--not all crowded or cluttered. I have enjoyed just looking at the pages. I'm so glad you included the Epilogue--I would be wondering about our friends, H. Hank, C. Carl, and D. Dan. Since I don't want to be a broker or raise petunias to show at the county fair , I
need to learn as much as I can from you. I can hardly wait for Sat. to come!

At the Futures south seminar in 1996, I purchased the home study course from Joe at his booth. ...........I have been trading for four years and think that Joe has some very good ideas but I just couldn't hang with the presentation from 1996.
I would like to know more. So I would like to have a password for 30 days. I think I qualify since I purchased the home course ,as per your requirements..... If you extend a password, I promise to check out the information, and if it looks like the presentation and information has improved then I'll purchase the book.

PS, for what it is worth--the book is one of the best, down to earth trading books I have ever read. I read it from start to finish upon arrival. You could have charged much more than $162.00 (I have paid much more and recieved much less). It will take some time to grasp the material in the book. When I am somewhat up to speed, I will order the home study course.

Hello Joe!
I have now devoured the D-Levels book, and it finally dawned on me why you charge $162 for it. The short time I have been in the Forum has been, and continues to be, a great learning experience. Now, I want to know what I can do next (what makes sense?) to further my D-education.
I'm probably too green for a private tutorial, though I would like to be notified of the next one. I thought the trading course might be
redundant, but is it? And I know you have the mini-trading course. Knowing what I've done thus far, what do you recommend? This approach fully fits my personality and I can instinctively see the merit in it, so I want to be as well-educated about it as I can be.
Real trading is essential, and I am now doing that. But what's the next best step?

I can't tell you how valuable the set of tapes [that include money management] have been to me. I review them on a regular basis--they just seem to keep my money management focused. And if I take time off, because my trading has become sloppy, I always focus in on the material on the tapes just before I return to trading. The fib work makes me money but the money management makes the difference.
Once a trader has gotten past the stage of looking for the Holy Grail and begins working at trading for a living, the materials on those tapes are as good as gold.

Very few professional traders make themselves available to new or inexperienced traders, unless they are selling their newest system or indicator or 'Pie-in-the-Sky' book.' I have always found your materials to be practical and profitable, and your seminars and forums are not geared to selling the newest product, but rather, the application of sound trading and money management principals [This forum is a great example].
Learning to trade successfully is difficult--New traders do not deserve to have to run the gamut of 'get rich' products that confront them from every angle. It would be nice if there were 'Good Traders Seal of Approval' we could give to products like Fibnodes and your tapes--products that are actually used by professional traders that trade for a living and that would be a great addition to any person looking to be a better trader.

Dear Joe,
I received my copy of "DiNapoli Levels" two days ago. There is no way you are getting it back!
I have been trading for 5 years, (with some success) and became a commodity broker last year to learn more about real-life trading and to try to keep the "get rich by Friday, Kxx Rxxxxxx crowd" from throwing their money away.
I knew there was another dimension, and one of my broker collegues turned me on to Fibonacci work. I came accross and ordered the tape of your presentation at the Txx conference and that is how I have become a client. I look forward to thoroughly understanding and correctly using your methods and moving my trading (and my broker recomendations) to a whole new level.
May I please receive a password, so that I can modify my xxxxxx, real time software.
Thank you for being so generous as to share the results of all your hard work, so that serious trading students like me can learn from your experience.
Yours truly,

Subject: Re: leading/lagging indicators
Good morning Rt´s,
I need a little help from you. I´m running constantly in problems when trying to decide which indicators are leading and which are lagging. Could you please just list some, so I get a clearer picture of leading and lagging (I guess I´m lagging on this).
Thanks in advance - Ulrich
Hello Ulrich,
Any indicator which issues a signal AFTER price has moved, is a lagging indicator. MACD, Stochastic, RSI, Moving Averages as they are commonly used are lagging.
Leading indicators (attempt to) tell you where prices will go (or turn/find upport/resistance) BEFORE they get there. Leading indicators are predictive (though not reliable for mechanical/blind trading). It's fair to say that leading indicators usually require subjective human interpretation, which is why novice traders have difficulty with them.
Examples of leading indicators in Fibonacci, price patterns (such as Triangles, Double-RePo's, Head-and-shoulders), and price pattern failures (Head-and-shoulder failure for example),... etc..... I use Fibonacci, price-patterns, and price-pattern failures all the time. For me, trading without leading indicators is like flying an airplane in fog without instruments.
Combining leading and lagging indicators across multiple time-frames is very powerful. Leading indicators are valuable in deciding when to fade a common lagging indicator. For example, you know that the blind followers of the common Stochastic 25/75 will be on the wrong side of the market on the first false signal it gives near major Fibonacci support/resistance (they will drive price right to a Fib level, where your entry stop is, then they will be scrambling to reverse just as you are taking a profit)....
Best wishes,
-Neal

Neal,
You say you use Double-Repo's and price pattern failures, can you please give me more info. on these or a reference so that I can find out more.

Garry
From: Neal
Subject: Leading/Lagging Indicators
Garry,
The Double-RePo is a price pattern invented/discovered by Joe DiNapoli. See the website http://www.fibtrader.com
for details. DiNapoli has 9 predictive price-patterns. One of the nine is actually a category of patterns, specifically called "price pattern failures". The concept is that price patterns are widely monitored and traded, so when such a pattern fails (price goes the wrong way), there are many people who are in a losing trade, so the resulting price move can be very profitable for those who trade these failures..
For example, a stock may be making a typical Triangle, or Head-and-Shoulders price pattern. People take positions
based on the typical outcome of such patterns. If the price movement as the pattern completes actually moves in the direction opposite to what was expected, many traders will exit via their stop-loss orders.. If you know how to define such a failure you could benefit by taking a position as the pattern fails, when other traders are about to start panicking.
Best wishes,
-Neal.

Hi Pat,
Just a quick note to thank you for your hospitality, and Joe for his ability to change what I see every time I now look at a chart !
I enjoyed the private tutorial very much, in fact I felt very uncomfortable with my level of knowledge of the "fib" work ..... which
is good because we know that we are learning when the "brain" goes on "tilt"! I have found that I "replay" the questions and interaction that we had on a regular basis in combination with reading the book and material again ... nuances just keep jumping out at me .... GREAT !
I just can't tell you how much help the session was for me ! I have decided to use xx (once I get the correct formulas) and Fibnodes for now.
Again, thank you for the tutorial and I will let you know how I progress!
Warmest regards

Where CAN I get good professional instruction that will pull me over this mountain?
I've read so many books I'm cross-eyed. I've studied so many charts I see them in my dreams. And, even though I know TA inside out ... I'm still a mediocre trader (g). Please don't tell me I'm probably not geared to be a trader. It is too important to me. In spite of my mediocre success... I enjoy the challange of becoming a good trader and will not quit until I am good enough to trade for a living.
With that in mind ...do any of you day traders and/or Pro's have a recomendation? Can you suggest someone who can take me where I want to go? I'm to the point where I want to spend the money on personal instruction instead of loosing it making bad decisions that could have been avoided with proper instruction. I'm a believer in gathering information from those who have
been there done that.
You know the old saying, "Give a man food ...feed him for a day. Teach him how to plant ... feed him forever."
Just point me and I'll do the rest.

Randy,
From personal experience, I highly recommend Joe DiNapoli. He is an accomplished trader, and has a complete trading methodology (not just a "system").
I've been trained by him, and my skills jumped to a new level because of his training.
He is well respected in the industry, I know this, because I have interviewed several professional traders on my web-pages, and they all respect him.
When you talk to Joe, ask him to tell you what G. L. said about him. His comment about Joe will interest you, because L. talks to a lot of traders, and L.made an observation about traders who have been trained by Joe.
Ethically, and personally, Joe is a great guy. Yes, I'm sold on him! Why not? I use his techniques! I've stopped looking for a better way to trade, Joe's methods are what works for me.

Joe,
Thanks for following up but you filled up a huge gap after I talked with you. As soon as you started talking about the DMA's, I immediately figured out what I was NOT doing: determining the TREND first. I was caught up in the 5 and 30min timeframes.
By the way, in the last few days since then, I am back on track. After talking to you, I re-emphasized the DMA's, I am now using it in even the smaller timeframes, 5, 30min, using it in context the way you prescribed. I now get a clear picture of whats happening.
Thanks again, looking forward to reading your book again.

I didn't feel that I did a good job in answering your questions the other day. So, I'll try a recap now that my mind is a little clearer . .
Your statement below regarding the MACD and Stochastic combination is essentially correct. It appears that you understand the use of these indicators and the last thing that I want is for you to misinterpret my comments and disregard what you have already learned . .
What you need to do in trading is establish a hierarchy of decision making to formulate the context. Based on the following items I would not have been looking to sell this market; therefore, the false signals given below would not have created a loss for me. We had just broken into new high ground from consolidation and down move. We were above the 25 by 5 and the 3 by 3. We were not particularly over bought, so I would not choose to be a seller. If you were using some directional indicator of your own which told you to sell, you were properly using the MACD Stochastic indicators. You would then be stopped out quickly. I saw no directional indicator to support the sale that you referred to below. The bottom line is this: context context context context context.
I hope this helps,
Joe

I'm about half way through the DiNapoli Levels book, and all I can say is that it is fantastic. Especially for anyone who, experieced like myself, has read many books on TA and market psychology only to be left with the questions, "so now how do I use this?" and "ok, what do I do next?" Even if we ignore the specifics of the methods, the explanation of how an expert approaches a market and applies TA is excellent.

Trading with DiNapoli Levels is not just about Fibonacci Analysis. It’s much more than that. It’s a veritable treasure-trove of golden nuggets that every trader - who wants to be successful - should pay heed. The book’s conversational flow makes you feel like you’re sitting right there next to Joe in his trading room while he works his magic. I'd like to draw your attention to a great Joe DiNapoli Double-repo trade I made...
When I shorted this stock (NBR) on Nov 12th at $40.88 I was not certain that it would turn out to be a valid Double-Repo since the top formation was a bit "iffy".. So, I took a close profit-objective and banked about $1,200 in a week or so.
It turns out the signal was valid, and look a the thrusting down-movement since then! These patterns are what makes for a higher success rate.. (I've already bragged that 85% of my November trades were winners). This is one pattern which would make me trade against the prevailing trend.

Hi Joe,
I didn't make any $ today but I "traded well" I was on the wrong side of that huge spike in the Swiss today, but knowing the fibnodes saved me from closing the position in panic and taking a big loss ( like I have done in the past). I sold another Swiss after the spike and was able to average down to where I was only out the commission. It could have been a lot worse! Love Fibnodes, the Swiss closed EXACTLY at the 5/8 support number!
Incredible!
Hope you're well and busy, best regards -

G`Day Joe,
I am writing to thank you for the most amazing and best seminar I have ever attended.
Firstly the seminar. As you know my experience in the market place is one of a floor local learning a completely new game of screen trader. The transition has come with great difficulty as my floor conditionings are deep, however your trading mythology has helped me enormously. Attending your Seminar has cleared up every grey area I have had with my trading. My confidence is extremely high (and focused) after this seminar and my success rate is also very high. Your incredible trading discipline has taught me how to succeed. This seminar without a doubt has given me the final key to the treasure chest, thank you.

Joe,
">>>The seminar itself was great and I can already see the impact it is going to have on my trading even though I've only been back at trading for a week now.
So, thanks again, Joe. I'm looking forward to next time.
JJJoe,
As far as the trading seminar, I learned more than I expected, and only some of it was technical.

Joe,
I was able to attend a great seminar with my mentor who is the smartest man I know in the trading business ,I am Blessed.
Thanks Joe,
D K"Having read TWDL a few times and started applying the techniques the initial P-sem was excellent all round.
