System Builder
SystemBuilder is the latest addition to a long list of
TradeStation 2000i 's incredible system development
features. It allows you to tap into the system
development power and flexibility of EasyLanguage using
an easy point-and-click interface to create a trading
strategy in minutes.
Using SystemBuilder, you're able to easily combine a
limitless number of signals, or buy and sell criteria
into a trading system. For instance, you could choose to
test what the results would be if you had bought IBM
stock for the last ten years every time the closing
price was below the 20-day moving average. And your sell
criteria could simply be to exit the trade when the
price went above the moving average.
Testing this simple strategy would be just a matter of
choosing the moving average entry signal and exit signal
from a list already pre-written for you within
SystemBuilder. But don't be fooled by the simplicity of
the above trading system.
Your entry and exit conditions can be as complex as you
desire. You see, thanks to the flexibility of
EasyLanguage and the PowerEditor, you're able to create
your own signals and add them to any directory in
SystemBuilder. Then you can combine them again and
again, easily and quickly, to create hundreds of
different combinations and hundreds of different trading
strategies to test.
